Byte Night 2005

Friday 23rd September 2005 saw the occasion of Byte Night 2005 - the IT community's annual annual sleep-out in aid of the NCH (registered charity number 1097940).

I joined nearly 200 people, including actress Jenny Agutter and four of candidates from BBC's The Apprentice, sleeping out for the night by Tower Bridge to raise money for young homeless people and care leavers. I took part as a member of the Professional Contractor's Group team - joined again by Richard Robson, plus Justin Powell and Andy McDonald.

The Weather

Whilst the weather threatened, and it rained quite heavily in the early evening, it remained dry over-night... however, as in the previous year, Richard and I were taking no chances, and commandeered two park benches, just outside the designated area, adding a bit more authentication to the event!
