Byte Night 2004
Friday 17th September 2004 saw the occasion of Byte Night 2004 - the IT community's annual annual sleep-out in aid of the
NCH (registered charity number 1097940).
I joined nearly 200 people, sleeping out for the night by Tower
Bridge to raise money for young homeless people and care
leavers. I took part as a member of the joint Pendragon
and Professional
Contractor's Group team, although unfortunately Maxine (from Pendragon)
had to pull out at the last minute due to injury.
The Weather
Whilst the weather threatened, and it rained quite heavily in the early
evening, it remained dry over-night... however, Richard and I were taking no
chances, and commandeered two park benches, just outside the designated area,
adding a bit more authentication to the event!
Total Raised
We raised a total of £870.00 - thank you to those who supported me and the team.
Pictures
I had intended to take a lot more pictures than I did, but my fully charged
digital camera decided that it wouldn't last very long... but here are some of
the few
I did manage - please click on the thumbnails for full sized pictures:
