Useful books...
The following books form part of my personal collection, and I commend them
to any collector (beginner or advanced) of Carnivorous Plants.
The Savage Garden, by Peter D'Amato
|
 |
There
are several hundred species of carnivorous plants on our planet. This text is a
guide to these savage beauties that are easy to grow and thrive in gardens,
terrariums and windowsill just about anywhere.
This book is held, by many readers, to be the definitive hand book for
the Carnivorous Plant collector/enthusiast.

Carnivorous Plants, by Adrian Slack
|
|
The paperback version of a book first published in 1979, this is an illustrated and
wide-ranging study of some 200 types of carnivorous plants. It provides
botanical and ecological descriptions of the plants and illustrates their
trapping mechanisms. It also includes a section on how to grow some of them. The
author has accumulated one of the world's largest private collections of
carnivorous plants. He has taken a Chelsea Gold Medal for five consecutive
years. |
